No School Monday, October 12 + Indigenous Peoples’ Day Community Event

Hello Blackhawks Families and Staff,
Please remember that there will be no school on Monday, October 12, in recognition of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Students will return on Tuesday, October 13.

Families are also invited to an Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration sponsored by the Community Consortium for Cultural Recognition (C3R) on Monday, October 12, from 5:30–10 p.m. in the Lummi Nation School gymnasium.

The event, Answering the Call of Our Ancestors, will feature a free salmon dinner, a coastal jam hosted by the Lhaq’temish Singers, and dancing with DJ Big Rez.

All ages are welcome! Bring your family and join the community for an evening of food, music, and celebration. Please see the attached flyer for details.
