Lummi Nation School Athletics is dedicated to supporting the growth of our student-athletes both on and off the field. As Blackhawks, our students compete with pride while honoring the values of the Lummi community—respect, responsibility, and care for one another. Through sports, students build teamwork, discipline, and a shared sense of purpose as they represent not only their school, but their families and community.

Our athletics programs encourage students to set goals, stay committed, and learn the value of hard work and perseverance. Participation in sports promotes healthy lifestyles and supports mental and emotional well-being, while also helping students develop balance in their academic and personal lives. These experiences build confidence and resilience, preparing students for success in school and beyond.

Athletics at Lummi Nation School also strengthens connections across generations. Games and events bring together families, elders, and community members to support and celebrate our student-athletes. Within each team, students learn leadership, accountability, and respect—uplifting one another and carrying forward the importance of community, identity, and belonging.

We believe athletics are an essential part of a well-rounded education. By fostering growth, connection, and pride in who they are and where they come from, our athletics program helps students develop into strong, confident individuals who carry Lummi values with them in everything they do.
